A wonderful place to observe nature, birds and botanical species of humid forest on the eastern slope of Cerro de Tatamá at about 2,100 m. It is 1 hour and 45 minutes from Pereira on the road that leads to the municipality of Santuario. Planes is very close to there and has a very well equipped hostel. The administration is in charge of the surrounding community that welcomes visitors with care and care. This time we invited Edmundo Hernández and Stella, a couple who love nature and unconditional friends of ATA. We have visited this place many times because it is perhaps the shortest way to access Tatamá and it goes without saying, because the mountains of Cerro are primary forests where the smell and sound of the jungle can truly be felt. Let us remember that Tatamá is considered one of the most biodiverse places in the world and we have an obligation to protect it at all costs!
